About Nervismart 450 mg
Nervismart is Healing Pharma's pregabalin range. Capsules come in strips of 15 inside a printed outer carton, with batch number and expiry on every strip.
Pregabalin is an anticonvulsant and nerve-pain medicine. It binds to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the nervous system, which calms over-active nerve signalling. Doctors prescribe it for neuropathic pain (including diabetic nerve pain and post-shingles pain), fibromyalgia, generalised anxiety disorder, and as an add-on treatment for partial seizures.
How it's taken
Upper range dose used in fibromyalgia and severe neuropathic pain under supervision. Capsules are swallowed whole with water, with or without food, at the same times each day. Your prescriber sets the dose and any increases; pregabalin is usually started low and stepped up over a week or more. Don't stop suddenly — tapering over at least a week avoids withdrawal symptoms such as insomnia, nausea and anxiety.
Side effects
The common ones are dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, weight gain and swelling of the hands or feet; they're most noticeable in the first weeks. Avoid alcohol and don't drive until you know how it affects you. Seek medical help for breathing difficulty, swelling of the face or throat, or any change in mood or thoughts. Tell your doctor about kidney problems, heart failure, a history of substance misuse, and every other medicine you take, especially opioids and sedatives.
Storage and packaging
Store below 30 °C, in the original strips, away from moisture and light. Every strip carries the brand, strength, batch number, manufacture and expiry date. We ship capsules with at least 12 months of shelf life remaining.
